What this site keeps, and what it doesn't
Atlas & Vine is a small business run by one travel advisor. This page says plainly what happens to your information when you browse the site, send a form, or use the Ask Mindy chat.
Browsing
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use advertising trackers and does not build a profile of you.
Contact and newsletter forms
When you send a form, what you typed is delivered to Mindy by email and stored with the site's hosting provider (Netlify) so she can reply. It is used only to answer you or, for the newsletter, to send you what you signed up for. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
Ask Mindy chat
- Your messages are sent to an AI service (Anthropic) to generate each reply, together with the site's own travel content. The reply is written by the AI, not by Mindy.
- The conversation lives only in your browser for the current tab session. This site does not store the text of your conversation on its servers.
- Usage counters are kept for about a month: how many conversations happened, roughly what they cost, and which partner links were clicked. They contain no message text and no names.
- A small cookie (
avc) holds a random id so the chat can apply its daily fair-use limits. It carries no personal information and is not used for tracking or advertising. - A trip brief is sent to Mindy only when you read it back and click Send. It then contains what you gave: your name, email and trip details. It is handled like a contact form.
- Please don't share passport numbers, card numbers, booking references, passwords, or other sensitive information in the chat. It isn't needed to plan a trip and Mindy would rather you didn't.
Partner links
Links to partners (cruise lines, hotel programs) pass through this site so that clicks can be counted. The count is a number per partner per month, nothing about who clicked. Once you reach a partner's site, that partner's own privacy terms apply.
Booking with Mindy
If you plan a trip with Mindy, the details needed for your bookings are handled under Fora Travel's booking systems and your travel suppliers' terms. Mindy will tell you what a given booking needs and why.
Your choices
Email mindy@atlasandvine.com to ask what Mindy holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Blocking cookies in your browser stops the chat cookie; the rest of the site works without it.
